a few weeks ago, my photographer friend Crystal asked if she could shoot my outfit photos. i will never turn down a photo shoot or modeling opportunity, so of course i said YES! didn’t she do a great job? you can see more on her blog and on the snappy casual facebook page (if you want, “like” it while you’re there). Crystal also took photos of Eric and i for our three-year anniversary that turned out amazing. if you live within driving distance of des moines, you should subscribe to her blog before march 1 to be entered to win a free photo session!

after the photo shoot, Eric and i ate lunch at a cute little deli and did some shopping (we bought a tripod for our camera so we can do his and hers posts more easily). the weather was a splendid 45 degrees (!) and we had so much fun. i’ve said it before, but i love dating my husband. he is such a gem.

this was my first time wearing a tie or attempting menswear. it was fun to do something different! but it made my husband feel kind of weird, since we were out and about and i was wearing a tie and he wasn’t…
