I wore this outfit a few weeks ago to a Favorite Things party. Have you ever heard of those parties? I hadn't until a year ago when I was invited to my first one by my friend Heidi, but it's quickly become my favorite type of party.
Here's how it works:
- You choose one of your favorite things (about $10).
- You buy five (5) of those things.
- You go to the party and draw 5 names.
- You give away your 5 things to your friends!
Of course, you also get 5 new fun things that are someone else's favorite things! Sometimes the parties have themes (kitchen items, something that starts with the letter of your own name, etc.). This last party was themed "Back to School." I brought cute paper baskets from the Mara Mi line at Target as well as fabric covered pushpins (no longer online, but can be found in the Giftables to Go aisle).
And here are the goodies I came home with! (I thought the back-to-school hair idea was great and I love my new shampoo/conditioner!)
