back-to-school style

How is my baby girl starting kindergarten this month? I am actually so excited for her, and I also fully expect it to come with a lot of adjustments, challenges, growth, etc. — for our whole family. I'm excited for her because she loves to learn and is eager to read! At Kindergarten Camp I was just in awe thinking that she might meet her future best friend within those walls.

I'm anxious for her because I want her to make new friends and grow in her independence, and because she'll be riding the bus. She gets anxious about new situations and growth usually comes with a side of hardship, so I fully expect the first few weeks to be a little rocky. We played on her school playground a few weeks ago in an effort to remove one unknown variable for her first day. She has shown nothing but excitement so far!

I always loved school, and she does, too. Back-to-school is still one of my favorite times of the year!
