it's my birthmonth and i'll shop if i want to.

if there’s any time of the year i spend most of my clothing budget, it’s fall! september is the best month ever! we’re going to minneapolis this weekend to visit our friends joa and andy. joa was one of my best friends from high school (and the designer of this website). we’ve reconnected sporadically since we graduated, and it’s amazing how much we still have in common after years of separation. i can’t wait to catch up and talk about life!

naturally, we’ll also be stopping in to the mall of america to visit a few stores (h&m! forever 21 maternity!). i am trying to figure out this whole maternity clothing thing. i don’t NEED anything yet, but i’ll probably need some maternity jeans and leggings soon. (once i learn a thing or two, i’ll write up a how-to guide on dressing a baby bump!)

{i know the smock dress is spendy, but i really want a maternity dress that makes me feel beautiful!}

peter pan dress | red skinny jeans | pussybow tunic

{the peter pan dress would be inspiration to get back to my pre-baby body next summer!}

i have quite a bit of money saved in my personal account, but i won’t spend it all this weekend. i’m just hoping to get a few things. i need to keep some padding in my account because who knows when i will suddenly need a new pair of pants or bra? but i might splurge on some of these fun things with my birthday money!

AND i can’t forget to mention that the missoni for target line comes out sept. 13 and i think i might grab these flats and a silk scarf!
