Don't I look like I'm heading to a music festival? I wish! During our college summers, Eric and I would drive four hours up to Willmar, Minn., for Sonshine Festival with a bunch of friends and hang out for the long weekend. These are truly some of my fondest memories and we've dreamed of taking Rooney (and any future child/ren) to the festival when she gets a little older.
My top memories are getting a flat tire on the Interstate on the way up, applying a full sleeve of temporary tattoos to our friend Joe's arm, playing Ultimate Frisbee for an hour while Sanctus Real played in the background, camping near the main stage, and when they opened up the fire hydrants to cool everyone off (it is SO hot, hense the desire for crop tops).
P.S. I wore a two-piece lavender dress to prom my junior year. There were like five inches of midriff showing! I'm still not sure how my mom ever approved that.
