family photo time capsule 2021

Every year we take a family picture in front of this wall at our church. When Eric and I snapped the first one using a point-and-shoot camera propped on the back of our Jeep (see below!), we had no intention of making this a yearly thing. We now have 11 years of photos in our collection, and it's amazing to see how our family has changed over the years.
When I look at this year's photo, here's what comes to mind:
Finch (6): learned to swim, went to overnight summer camp for the first time, is ready for kindergarten
Eric: recently biked 200 miles in one day … and loved it
Kelsey: long hair, do care; eagerly awaiting the Summer Olympics; happiest in a jumpsuit
Rooney (9): completed third grade, learned how to swim, has read 45 chapter books so far this year
