Family Adventure: Hiking in Style (5 of 20) + a Minnetonka Giveaway!
We took these photos over the weekend when we visited Pilot Knob, a state park in northern Iowa and the second highest point in Iowa. Eric and I grew up near the park and both visited it when we were younger, so it was fun (and nostalgic) to bring Rooney there for a family adventure. We both said it seemed a lot smaller than we remember :) I swear the tower used to be twice as tall!
It was 39 degrees outside, so we didn't last as long as we'd hoped, but we were able to park and hike up to the tower. Rooney surprised us by wanting to do the whole thing by herself, until we were ready to leave when she was more than happy to have a ride on Eric's shoulders.

Big thanks to Minnetonka for hooking us all up with a new pair of comfy shoes! One thing I love about Minnetonka moccasins is how warm they keep our feet! Even though our noses and fingers were cold while we were hiking, our feet were still warm!
