Merry Christmas from Team Williams!

As we celebrate the birth of Jesus, we also want to share a few more things we are celebrating and thankful for this year.

Rooney, age 10, is in fifth grade. This year she started playing the flute and is getting the hang of it! She also went to her first concert (Mat Kearney) and even got to hold his hand while he sang. She recently got into Harry Potter, is a self-proclaimed Gryffindor and is reading the third book. She loves watching YouTube, staying up late and eating out. She keeps us busy driving her to and from softball, volleyball, hip hop dance and church activities.

Finch, age 7, is in first grade. He got glasses this summer and has been working hard at vision therapy and eating gluten-free (GF = Good for Finch). He played baseball this spring and recently started practicing taekwondo. He can count to 20 in Korean and break a board with his hand and was recently promoted to gold belt. He is currently working on solving the Rubik’s Cube. He impresses us daily with his “Finch Facts.”

Eric is in his seventh year at AO Wealth Advisory and serves on two boards of directors as well as a foundation committee. He still somehow found time to ride his bike almost 3,000 miles this year, including 200 miles in one day from West Des Moines to Arnold’s Park to raise money for Break the Cycle (helps fight human trafficking). As Rooney puts it, “Mom makes the rules and dad does the dishes.”

Kelsey is in her 11th year of parenting (not getting any easier, by the way), 10th year at Lutheran Church of Hope and the last year of her 30s. She has fallen in love with reading again, finishing 33 books so far this year. She also loves Crumbl cookies, wearing her winter colors and planning our next family adventure.

2022 family highlights include visiting the ice castles in Minnesota, attending a U.S. women’s soccer game in Kansas City and San Francisco 49ers preseason game in St. Paul, overnight church camp for the kids, Schitt’s Creek family Halloween costumes, and spending as much time as possible in our favorite place (Okoboji). Kelsey and Eric celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary with a trip (six months late) to Sedona, Arizona, in April and also escaped to Puerto Vallarta in early December. Tomorrow we are heading to Florida for some winter break fun!
