Puerto Vallarta!
Last winter Eric worked hard and earned a trip for us through one of the Chamber of Commerce board committees he is on. We were thrilled when we found out we would be renewing our passports and going to an all-inclusive resort in Puerto Vallarta!
I hadn’t been somewhere like this since my family went to Cancun when I was a freshman in college. Hard to believe that was 20 years ago already!
Puerto Vallarta gets 322 days of sun each year, making it a great getaway, especially in the winter months! It was 85° each day we were there, which was perfect for sitting by the pool.
We stayed at the Iberostar Selection Playa Mita and had a great experience. It was quiet, warm, lush, green and smelled divine. The service was great. The all-inclusive format was so nice to not have to worry about paying for each meal (other than tips). It would be great for families, too! They have a resort app, which is how we ordered room service and booked dinner reservations and spa treatments. My massage was fantastic!
We also did a few excursions while we were there. The only downside was that our resort was almost an hour from the city center and airport. If you are planning to stay at the resort the entire time, I think this one is a great option. If you want to book several excursions/outings, it may not be the best choice based only on location.
Huge thank you to Grandma Diane for caring for our kids while we were gone! It was great to get away, and great to come home :)
