rain rain go away

Last Wednesday, Rooney and I were at home, feeling kind of bored since that is my day off with her, but it was dreary and rainy alllll day long. We are usually very ready for daddy to come home by 4:00 pm, but he had to work that night, so I had to pull it together for a couple more hours...

Rooney said she wanted to go outside and play in the rain, and I thought, why the heck not?! I was out of ideas and we certainly did not need to watch another episode of Curious George. So we got on our jackets and Rooney got on her boots (I had just painted my toenails so I kept my sandals on) and we went out and jumped and splashed and laughed. It was one of the most spontaneous and fun adventures I've had so far in motherhood.
