rooftop threads

jeggings: american eagle (now on sale!)
boots: simply vera vera wang via kohl’s

where: rooftop dinner

this sweater/cape is one of my new purchases. i’m totally into this camel color for fall, and all the extra fabric is sure to cover a baby bump for quite a while.

when i bought it, i knew it would be a styling challenge to make three yards of knit look awesome. i used what i had to work with, but luckily i over-pack like a pro so i had some options. i switched my hair from the side braid to a bun and kept the color palette simple. {and i already have some fun ideas on how to jazz it up next time.}

we walked to dinner at a rooftop restaurant in uptown minneapolis, and wearing a shirt that resembles a blanket turned out to be a good idea — the fall breeze picked up as the sun went down and the conversation and food were just too perfect to leave early. talk about gorgeous!
