A Trip to Old Navy
I work like three minutes from Old Navy, so many of my lunch breaks are spent browsing the aisles. All of us -- Eric, Rooney and me -- have lots of luck at Old Navy and get a lot of our clothes there. (This is NOT a sponsored post. I just love genuinely love that store.) My mission this time was to find a big cozy sweater. It is COLD here in Iowa (-1 today), so I definitely need warm clothes. I usually wear size Small or Medium at Old Navy, but this time I sized up to Large to get more of that cozy feel. And I took photos in the dressing room so I could share my experience with you all :)
Wearing:Cable-Knit Crew Sweater in End of the Lime ($30)
Eh? Not terrible, but doesn't have the big cozy feel, and I'm not sure about the color.
Wearing: Printed Wool-Blend Sweater in Black Print ($26)
I liked this one better on the hanger. I have a long torso and I think the fact that the sweater has a black band on the bottom makes it look short against my black pants. I wear black pants most of the time, so this is a deal-breaker.
Wearing: Jeweled-Crew Sweatshirt in Blackjack ($35)
Trying the fancy sweatshirt trend. It's OK, but drafty in the neck region and a little boxy.
NO.
Wearing: Mock Turtleneck Sweater in Black Combo ($29)
Now this! I like this!
It's so warm!
And long! (It also comes in Tall online, which could be perfection.)
Wearing: Military-Style Jacket in Gray Charles ($40)
I wasn't ready to take the sweater off, so I threw on this jacket. I asked for a similar one for Christmas so I'm just seeing how it looks and feels.
Also seeing how it looks over the shirt I had on that day.
Here's how I ended up! I still haven't purchased the sweater, but I'm seriously thinking about it. Just waiting for the Tall size to come back in stock online (there is also a cream version), and a good sale.
What are your Old Navy favorites right now?
P.S. If you don't live near a store, don't be discouraged! I actually place most of my orders online (especially if I have $50 to spend for free shipping), because the prices are usually better (not for men's boxers or kids' leggings or women's vintage T-shirts, but most everything else!) and you can also add a coupon code, not to mention extra sizes for us tall girls!
