what I bought in January
I unintentionally went on a bit of a shopping spree this month. Eric and I each get $30 per month for personal clothing items, and I typically save up for a while until I find something I just can't pass up (I also still had birthday and Christmas money). This month was definitely a high spending month! We had quite a bit of sickness in our house this month, and apparently this is how I was coping. Here's what I got:
I am obsessed with Alternative Apparel — I now have six of their cozy crewneck sweatshirts and a pair of sweatpants. I love this floral sweatshirt I just added to my collection — I'm wearing it as I type this!
Zara jeans have been my go-to lately for denim. I like the $49 price tag, and the Sophisticated line in particular features really soft fabrics. High-waisted, stretchy and skinny? Yes, please.
It's not sandal weather yet, but I added these sandals to Eric’s H&M order because they're my favorite color — and only $15.
Always on a hunt for more pink, I fell for this Soel peplum sweatshirt (sadly it has sold out).
I've wanted a pair of duck boots for more than five years and finally bought a pair of the Sorel Out 'N About boots to get me through these cold and snowy Iowa winters. There are mixed reviews on sizing, but I went up a full size to make room for thick socks, and I love them. So cozy!
I now own three pairs of this exact denim. I wish they were high-waisted, but they're still great.
I'm still waiting for this to arrive, but it's a vintage Adidas sweatshirt from the 80s. Another eBay find!
Did you buy anything great this month? How do you budget for clothing purchases? I dream of the day we can allocate more dollars toward clothing, but I also try to remind myself that it's just stuff!
