What a year!

The good list:

Rooney (8½) is in third grade and loves school, whether in person or online, with her favorite subjects being math and reading. Her softball team went undefeated, and she enjoyed playing soccer and volleyball as well.

Finch (5½) started TK this fall and is learning to read and spell words like “fart” and “poop.” We are so proud. He loves jumping on the furniture, turning cartwheels and playing Minecraft.

Kelsey’s summer goal was to do a backflip off the pontoon, which she accomplished (twice). She continues to enjoy her work as an editor and project manager for Lutheran Church of Hope. You can often find her blogging, online shopping, or listening to an audiobook or podcast.

Eric completed 2+ years of early morning study sessions and passed(!) the grueling six-hour CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ exam. He is in his fifth year with AO Wealth Advisory. Somehow he also found time to chair the Urbandale Chamber of Commerce genYP leadership committee and log more than 2,500 miles on his bike.

As a family we love hiking, biking and spending time in Okoboji. We are beyond grateful for our health, especially this year. Wishing you all the best this holiday season and a wonderful new year!
