Finished his first chapter book, “The World According to Humphrey.” He fell in love with reading, especially the “My Weird School” series. He read at least 60 of those books this summer!
Learned how to make macaroni and cheese
Played basketball, baseball and flag football and did taekwondo — with football being his favorite
Ran the Grand Blue Mile with Eric
Used a thousand Band-Aids
Got his first stitches (left thumb, March 24, 2024)
Had his head glued twice
Learned how to solve a Rubik’s cube, 2x2 and Pyraminx
Always wants to be the first cousin to jump in the lake
Learned how to play Solitaire, whittle a stick, do a magic trick, and build a great paper airplane
Punched his passport during our trip to the Dominican Republic

Was diagnosed with ADHD and tried many medications to find the right fit!

His birthday landed on a Wednesday and we spent the day as a family. He requested Dunkin Donuts for breakfast, LEGO-building with dad, going to the movie theater to see “Garfield,” McDonald’s for lunch, pool time, and Hy-Vee Chinese for supper. A couple days later he had a laser tag and arcade birthday party with seven of his best buddies. It is so fun to see him have fun with his friends!
