Did y'all have a nice Christmas? We sure did! We had five parties this year (which felt like a perfect amount compared to the eight or nine we had a couple years ago!). It was snowing as we walked out of Christmas Eve Eve church, and it was so beautiful! Then, for the first time ever since we've been married, we got to wake up in our own beds on Christmas morning! It was so awesome. We moved Rooney to a toddler bed on Christmas Eve, and she opened our bedroom door at 7:15 am on Christmas Day and climbed in bed with us for 20 minutes before going to see if Santa filled our stockings. Note to self: Next year, don't buy gifts from "Santa" when she's with me at the store. Haha. She pulled out some socks from my stocking and said "Oh yeah! We got these at the store!"

Watching Rooney learn about and experience snow and Christmas this year was totally magical. We were soaking it up as our last Christmas as a family of three. It's not about gifts, but she got a lot of great ones. Some of her favorite new toys are Play-doh, an Our Generation doll, and a doctor's kit. We also got a membership to the science center and zoo, which will be so fun to use throughout the year.
