our last night as a family of three
I realized the other day that I have quite a few photos from our last night as a family of three! It was a special night with lots of laughter and I'm so glad I have these photos to remember it.

It was a day just like any other... Rooney went to school and we went to work, and then we tried to make a fun evening of it, unsure when baby would join our family.
When Roo and I got home, we walked to get the mail...
And then Eric took her on a bike ride to a new park (toward the end of my pregnancy, Eric usually let me have some rest after work while he and her did something fun)...
And then I met them at Rita's before heading home for sidewalk chalk and hopscotch, or "hopsock" as Rooney called it. (She insisted I do it too, and maybe that's what sent my body over the edge!)
I died watching Rooney. Check out these videos!
Then I helped Roo get ready for bed and watched TV for a bit with Eric before heading to bed myself while Eric put Rooney back in bed for the hundredth time...
As we were falling asleep, Eric asked me when we were going to have this baby, and I said, "Tomorrow." (I had told my coworkers the same thing before I left work that day, but I had no idea I would be right! He was born just 12 hours later!)
